The Story of Grandpa's Bears

In the Beginning


I got four plaid shirts of a loved one from his family. They asked me to make four teddy bears for his four grandchildren.



I took them all apart, saved buttons. lining, and anything else that might work for a new bear.

Matching Plaids


I had my yearly eye appointment after this. Fortunately the ophthalmologist said my eyes were still correctable to 20/20. Now to see a shrink......

Further Down the Line


Assembly begins with the arms and legs, then the head. These parts are all stuffed and completed before they attach to the body, which gets stuffed and sewn last. 

Face It!


Noses and eyes are sewn on, and mouths are outlined.

Ready to Go Home


Bears are eager and ready to go to their new homes.
